Welcome 2011-2012 2nd Grade Students and Parents!

We are well on our way in Class D-8 for the new year. I am really excited about our year together. We have been talking about what is expected for our 2nd  grade year. Students can expect to learn new concepts in all subject areas(2nd grade CA standards), to be better communicators, and the rules for formal situations ( like school). Today we learned about the neurons in our brain. Students learned that they are in charge of building their brains. I will add the video we watched  to the Parent Page this week from home ( we don’t have access to YouTube at school).  My email address is on your child’s homework folder if you need to get a hold of me. Let’s make it a happy and productive year!

Spring Break Packets

Students have 2 packets to work on during spring break. These packets should not take very long to finish. They are a review of all of the standards we have learned during the year. The students will be tested on these standards on the CST (California Standards Test) during the week of May 9th. See the post below for links to information.
